Report AntiVirus false positives
Report AntiVirus false positives
If you ever have a problem with antivirus software reporting a virus regarding a file within your Polaris SE script folder that is NOT in the downloads folder (aka not something you downloaded), simply submit the file in question to the company and they will deem it to be a false positive and fix it in their next antivirus definition file. If you don't understand how to do this or want me to do it, report the false positive here. Provide the antivirus name and the file(s) it triggered on, or just the snapshot of the alert which contains this information. Some antivirus software have logic written poorer than others often resulting in high false positive rates. This can be fixed fairly quickly by reporting the issue to the antivirus vendor and have them fix their logic.
Note: A false positive means that the file is NOT malicious. Do not report files within your download directory to me! That is not relevant to the script.
